Dave Bishop grew up in eastern Pennsylvania and spent summers tending the family garden or helping at relative's farms. He spent the next 35 years in Colorado where he discovered that growing anything at 8500 feet is almost impossible. During the short time Dave has been in Lee County, he has experienced the worst drought in the history of Central Texas and the coldest winter in 30 years. Some locals have suggested that he should move back to Colorado!
But Dave is here to stay and excited about having a "normal" growing season this year.
He raises all kinds of vegetables and has peach, plum, pecan and fig trees. Look for these items at the Black Coyote Farms stall at the Lee County Area Farmer's Market.
